Course Overview

Fundamental Principles, Application Fields, Possibilities and Limits of Applied Geophysics. Geophysical Prospecting Methods: Gravimetric, Magnetic, Electrical (Resistivity, Induced Polarization, Self Potential), Electromagnetic (Georadar), Seismic (Reflection, Refraction), Well Logging. Instruments for Geophysical Measurements. Geophysical Surveying Techniques. Processing, Interpretation and Representation of Geophysical Data. Computers in Geophysical Exploration. Field Examples. Case Histories.

Laboratory exercises in the application of the above geophysical methods both in the field and the Lab.
